2024 Paralympic Games: "Nearly 50 million viewers in France" on France TV

"Nearly 50 million French people (who watched at least 60 non-consecutive seconds) followed the Paralympic Games on France Télévisions," announced the public broadcasting group, the exclusive broadcaster of the event in France, on 09/09/2024.

The group reached "66% of 15-24 year-old and 82% of working people", while the public channel France 2 was the "leader" from 28/08 to 08/09/2024 with an average audience share of 18.8%, according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie. France TV also recorded "almost 18 million video views on france.tv and more than 300 million on social media", said the french group.

Several audience peaks were also recorded by the public broadcasting group during the Paralympic Games:
• a peak of 5.3 million viewers on France 2 for the blind football final (victory of the French men's team over Argentina) on Saturday 07/09;
• a peak of 5.2 million viewers for the athletics session on Sunday 01/09 on France 3;
• a peak of 4.5 million viewers for Alex Portal's bronze medal (men's 100 metres backstroke S13) on France 2 on Friday 30/08.
