Manchester United FC: a record turnover of £661.8m (+2%) and net loss of £113m in 2023-24

Manchester United FC (Premier League) has posted a record turnover of £661.8m (€781m as of 30/06/2024) for the financial year 2024 (from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024), up 2.1% compared to 2023 (£648.4m/€751.6m on 30/06/2023), announced the club, which presented its annual accounts (unaudited) on 11/09/2024.

Matchday revenues reached an unprecedented £137.1m (€161.8m), while commercial revenues equalled the all-time high of 2022-23 at £302.9m (€357.4m). TV rights revenue also increased to £221.8m (€261.7m).

The Mancunian club's operating result fell to -£69.3m (-€81.8m), compared with -£11.2m (-€12.8m) in 2022-23. The net result shows a much greater loss, at -£113.2m (-€133.6m) compared with the previous financial year (-£28.7m / -€22m). Finally, the club's EBITDA stands at £147.4m (€174m), down slightly on 2022-23 (£154.9m).

Manchester United is forecasting a turnover of £650 to £670m (€767 to €790m) and an EBITDA of £145 to £160m (€171 to €189m) for 2024-25.
