A record 19,589 cases were dealt with by FIFA's Player Status Department during the period from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024 (6.7% more than in 2022-23), according to the third annual Football Tribunal Report published by the International Federation on 17/09/2024 (document available to download).

Of all these cases, nearly three quarters (74.1%/14,516) concerned the application of the registration rules for minors.

"The report provides a comprehensive overview of the FIFA Football Tribunal's activities, as well as those of the FIFA Players' Status Department, which is part of the FIFA Legal and Compliance Division and acts as a secretariat to the Football Tribunal," explained the body.

"The Football Tribunal was implemented on 01/10/2021 to consolidate the existing FIFA decision-making bodies into a single umbrella body," added FIFA.
