Liga Portugal: an operating profit of €2.6m, more than double the €1.1m forecast

Liga Portugal's accounts for the 2023-24 financial year, which include an operating profit of €2.6m, compared to the €1.1m forecast in the projected budget, have been approved by its board of directors, announced the league on 17/09/2024.

"Revenues of €29m, the highest in the organisation's history, contributed to this result, compared to expenses of €26.5m. This is the second highest result in the history of Liga Portugal, surpassed only by that of 2015-16, Pedro Proença's first year in charge (as president), which saw profits close to €3m," explained the organising body of Portugal's professional first- and second-divisions (Liga Portugal Betclic and Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG), as well as the League Cup (Allianz Cup).

Liga Portugal, for which Pedro Proença has been president since 2015, has recorded its ninth consecutive year of positive results. It has also forecast a 10^th positive financial year in 2024-25, with an operating profit of around €1.1m.
