UEFA: Qatar Airways to sponsor the Champions League for two rights cycles (2024-2030, €500m)

Qatari airline Qatar Airways has become an official sponsor of the UEFA Champions League for six seasons (2024-2030), i.e. over two rights cycles, announced UEFA on 19/09/2024. The agreement, which also covers the Youth League, the Futsal Champions League and the European Super Cup, is worth a total of €500m (or €83m per season), according to specialised media the same day.

Qatar Airways first committed to UEFA as an official partner for Euro 2020 (played from 11/06 to 11/07/2021), before extending its agreement to all men's national team competitions organised by the body from Euro 2024, on 14/06/2024.

Under the new agreement, the airline will benefit from visibility on LED signage in stadiums hosting Champions League matches, on interview backdrops and via sponsorship of broadcasts. In addition, " fans can look forward to exclusive promotions and discounts, bespoke travel solutions via Hamad International Airport in Doha and unique experiences and travel packages available through the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Collection," explained UEFA.
