LFFP: professional women's footballer status to be adopted "in the next few days" (J-M. Aulas)

A status for professional women's football players in France, which is "extremely advanced socially compared to all other leagues" will be announced in "the coming days," according to Jean-Michel Aulas, president of the LFFP and vice president of the FFF, who spoke to AFP on 19/09/2024.

"Economically and socially, we will offer European and American women's players things that don't exist elsewhere and that will make our leagues more attractive," said the former president of Olympique Lyonnais.

"We did a lot of work with the UNFP, the players' union, on the one hand, and Foot Unis, which represents the clubs, on the other, and they had difficulty agreeing on who does what and how," added Jean-Michel Aulas, who would have liked the collective agreement to have been signed even before the LFFP was created on 01/07/2024.

Foot Unis and the U2C2F had already announced "the adoption of an employers' recommendation granting protective guarantees in terms of health, pregnancy and maternity for female football players in the first and second divisions with effect from 01/07/2024" on 01/03/2024…
