Borussia Mönchengladbach: Stefan Stegemann to succeed Stephan Schippers as CEO on 01/01/2025

Stefan Stegemann will succeed Stephan Schippers as CEO of Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) from 01/01/2025, announced the club on 20/09/2024.

Stephan Schippers, the club's managing director since 1999, had asked the management shortly after the end of the 2023-24 season to release him earlier from his duties and his contract, which ran until June 2026, according the club on 07/08/2024. Stefan Stegemann was also a member of the DFL supervisory board and a member of the DFB board of directors.

Stefan Stegemann will be joined on the club's executive board by Roland Virkus (managing director for sport) and Markus Aretz (managing director for communication, marketing, digital transformation & CSR). He has been a member of Borussia Mönchengladbach's executive board (Präsidium) since May 2022, as vice president.
