Women's football: Barclays renews as title sponsor of England's top 2 divisions for 2025-2028 & £45m

Barclays, a British bank, has extended as the title sponsor of England's top two women's football divisions, the Barclays Women's Super League and the Barclays Women's Championship, for a further three seasons (2025-2028), announced Women's Professional Leagues Limited, the independent company responsible for organising the two leagues, on 23/09/2024.

"The landmark renewal is the biggest deal in women's domestic football history and sees Barclays double their investment to build on their long-term support of the women's game," said the body, which has signed its first sponsorship deal since its creation on 16/08/2024.

The total value of the renewal of Barclays' naming rights partnership will be £45m (€53.7m), or £15m (€17.8m) per season, according to British media reports. This amount is similar to that paid on average by Uber Eats as title sponsor of Ligue 1 (men's competition) to the LFP over the 2022-2024 cycle (€16m/season).
