Premier League: agreement between Blue Heaven Holdings & The Friedkin Group for the sale of Everton

The privately held American consortium of businesses and investments The Friedkin Group, which already owns AS Roma (Serie A Enilive), and Blue Heaven Holdings Limited, an Isle of Man-registered company that owns 94.1% of Everton FC (Premier League), have reached an agreement for the sale of the English club, announced the latter on 23/09/2024.

"The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, including from the Premier League, the Football Association, and the Financial Conduct Authority," according to Everton FC. This agreement comes after the two entities, which had entered into exclusive negotiations on 21/06/2024, initially announced the failure of this process on 19/07/2024.

John Textor (USA), chairman of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) and minority shareholder in Crystal Place FC (Premier League), had indicated that he was close to an agreement to acquire the Merseyside club, although he acknowledged that there were competitors, on 11/09/2024.
