Real Betis Balompié: debt to be restructured via €125m 10-year financing deal with Goldman Sachs

Real Betis Balompié (LALIGA EA Sports) has signed a 10-year, €125m financing agreement with US bank Goldman Sachs to "restructure its short- and long-term debt on very favourable terms," announced the Seville-based (Andalusia, ESP) club on 23/09/2024.

The agreement, reached via Bibium Capital, Real Betis' financial advisor, "will substantially improve the club's liabilities, and provide it with sufficient liquidity, solvency and financial depth for the coming years. In this way, the club is completely refinancing its previous, more costly and inefficient debt and obtaining additional resources to comfortably meet its ordinary working capital and other expected corporate needs. In addition, the covenants package of the new financing preserves flexibility and autonomy in the future management of the club, even allowing for its extension if necessary," said Betis.
