FIFA: Verizon (telecoms) sponsor of the 2026 World Cup & supporter of the Women's World Cup 2027

The American telecommunications operator Verizon has become an official sponsor of the 2026 World Cup (co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from 11/06 to 19/07/2026) and an official supporter of the Women's World Cup 2027 (in Brazil), announced the International Federation on 12/09/2024.

This is the first sponsorship agreement between FIFA and Verizon. As part of the partnership, the American group will make its connectivity services available to the body, which "will play a vital role across stadiums, official sites and various parts of the tournament operations, powering future FIFA World Cup experiences for fans, players, media and more," said FIFA.

• As part of the men's competition, "the largest ever held, with 48 teams playing 104 matches. In partnership with FIFA, Verizon will help cater for the influx of fans, players and visitors around the country. In addition, Verizon will deploy a programme for international fans to access the Verizon network upon landing in the USA and Canada, ensuring a reliable connection for all visitors," explained the Federation.
