UEFA: €565m for the 36 clubs competing in the 2024-25 Europa League

For the first season of the 2024-2027 cycle, UEFA, which is introducing a new format for its club competitions, will distribute a total of €3.317bn to the clubs taking part in the three European Cups in 2024-25. Of this sum, €565m (17%) is earmarked for the 36 clubs participating in the league phase of the Europa League, the first matchday of which, will take place on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26/09/2024.

This €565m will be divided into three parts:
• participation bonus: 27.5% divided equally, amounting to a total of €155m, with each club receiving €4.31m;
• sporting performance: 37.5% of the total, or €212m.
• new "value" pillar: 35%, i.e. €198m.

The eighth and final matchday of the Europa League's league phase will take place on Thursday 30/01/2025, while the draw for the competition's Round of 16 will be held the following day (Friday 31/01/2025). The Europa League final will be held at the Stadio San Mamés in Bilbao, Spain, on Wednesday 21/05/2025.
