UEFA: 2^nd edition of the "Champions Innovate" call for projects supported by adidas & Mastercard

UEFA has launched the second edition of the "Champions Innovate" programme in order to "leave a lasting impact on Munich (GER), the 2025 UEFA Champions League final host city," announced the body on 19/09/2024. Launched via the UEFA Innovation Hub in 2023-24, the scheme aims to bring together the host cities of the competition's final, UEFA sponsors and local startups to run legacy projects.

"Together with the City of Munich, UEFA has agreed upon the key strategic policy of promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles, with startup companies in those fields invited to propose ideas to meet specific challenges identified by Mastercard and adidas (partners of the Champions League)," explained UEFA.

• Mastercard will support the development of "purposeful digital innovation that makes sport - especially football - more inclusive and accessible for everyone. Its aim is to remove the obstacles which prevent participation in organised sport";
