Club Atlético de Madrid: record number of disabled fans to visit Civitas Metropolitano on 23/10/2024

The Champions League league phase match between Club Atlético de Madrid (LALIGA EA Sports) and LOSC Lille (Ligue 1 McDonald's) at the Civitas Metropolitano (70,460 capacity) in Madrid (ESP) will host the 2024 edition of the "Partido Inclusivo" (Inclusive Match) on 23/10/2024.

As part of this initiative, its various supporters - the club, Elma Saiz, Spain's Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, and the charities AccessibAll and Integrated Dreams - are hoping to break the record for disabled people attending a football match, although no target figure has been given.

"This event is part of a wider movement to improve accessibility in football and the perception of supporters with disabilities, following successful records at Śląsk Wrocław in Poland and Real Betis Balompié in Spain," said AccessibAll and Atlético de Madrid.

A record of 1,740 disabled supporters at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, home of Real Betis Balompié (LALIGA EA Sports), had been reached during a Spanish league match on 18/02/2023, as part of the 2023 edition of the "Partido Inclusivo".
