40 clubs and SADs (public limited sports companies) have signed the Spanish LFP's petition asking the Spanish government to ensure the quick adoption of the royal decree allowing collective marketing of domestic and international TV rights to Spanish professional competitions (Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante and the Copa del Rey), at an extraordinary general meeting of the League in Madrid (ESP) on 02/06/2015.

"The wish of all those concerned for this to be done as soon as possible because if not Spanish football will have serious problems in terms of competitiveness and the value of our rights will decline," said Javier Tebas, the president of the LFP, on 06/02/2015. "The LFP will tender the sale and the rights will be distributed according to the criteria set out by the Royal Decree.
