Twitter: a turnover of €1.24bn in 2014, but a net loss of €510.8m

The social network Twitter achieved a 2014 turnover of €1.24bn, an increase of 111% compared to 2013, according to a report released by the company on 05/02/2015. This strong increase in revenues is mainly due to higher advertising revenues, which reached €1.1bn in 2014, an increase of 109.6% compared to 2013 (€524.8m). Twitter reported a net loss of €510.8m in 2014 (+0.8% compared to €506.6m in 2013)

Twitter had 274.5 million monthly active users on average in 2014 across all platforms, an increase of 22.7% compared to 2013. With an average of 60.8 million monthly active users, America is the country with the most users of the social network. It makes 22.1% of the average number of monthly users in 2014.
