DFL Digital Sports: Andreas Heyden has been appointed CEO and will take office on 15/06/2015

Andreas Heyden has been appointed CEO of DFL Sports Digital, a subsidiary of the DFL (German Professional Football League) specialising in the production and distribution of digital content, announced the league on 09/02/2015. He will take office on 15/06/2015. The position is currently held on an interim basis, by Josef Nehl, a former German professional player, following the departure of Tom Bender on 31/12/2014, who was in the position for two years.

Andreas Heyden is currently chief operating officer of maxdome, the video on demand service of the German media group ProSiebenSat.1 Media, a position he has held since July 2013. He also worked at Microsoft from 1999 to 2001 as product marketing manager, and at RTL Deutschland from 2001 to 2007 as director of production and innovation.
