Athletic Club Bilbao: a turnover of €134.9m (+13%) & balanced results in 2023-24

Athletic Club Bilbao (LALIGA EA Sports) posted a turnover of €134.9m at the end of the 2023-24 financial year (from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024), up 13.2% on 2022-23 (€119.1m), according to the (unaudited) annual financial statement approved by the club's board of directors on 27/09/2024.

This increase in revenue was made possible by "record revenues at San Mamés (ticketing, events) as well as from merchandising and the museum," said Athletic Club. The Basque club broke even thanks to a provision of €14.2m. The 2023-24 financial year is therefore an improvement on 2022-23, which required a provision of €21.5m to break even.

In addition, the club has forecast revenues "of over €155m and no use of provisions for the first time since the 2019-20 season."

• The accounts for the 2023-24 financial year will have to be approved by the general shareholders' assembly convened for 29/10/2024.
• Athletic Club Bilbao finished 5^th in the LALIGA EA Sports in 2023-24, with 68 points (19 wins, 11 draws and 8 losses).
