LFFP: "We're trying to push for women's football to be separated from men's football" (J-M. Aulas)

"Women's football has been penalised by being lumped together with men's football within the same entity. Separating them, as in Lyon, opens up possibilities. We're trying to push for this. It's the best way of guarding against the weakness of L1 TV rights. Given the substantial decline in TV rights this year, we are not immune to difficulties. We're going to compensate and then free ourselves from men's football," said Jean-Michel Aulas, president of the LFFP and vice president of the FFF, to the French weekly newspaper La Tribune Dimanche on 29/09/2024.

"The FFF is investing between €7m and €10m this year (2024-25), and this will continue over the next five years. We intend to become the top league in Europe. To do that, we're going to have to quickly increase our budgets to between €20m and €30m," said Aulas.
