Africa: "Protect the dream" - CAF's campaign "against player trafficking and exploitation"

• To make players aware of the dangers of trafficking and exploitation
• To provide tools to boost the confidence of young footballers through communication training
• To promote their health and well-being while creating a safe and supportive environment

These are the main objectives of the "Protect the dream" educational campaign being presented by the Confederation of African Football on 30/09/2024.

"Football has proven to be a tool to change lives, including mine, and fake agents have used this knowledge to prey on Africa's talent. It is therefore important that CAF, using the power of football, takes such a stand with the launch of Protect the Dream to safeguard the future of African football," explained Emmanuel Adebayor, former Togolese international who is one of the sponsors of this CAF initiative.

"Young and senior football players, parents, guardians and academies across the continent are urged to engage with the educational campaign, which will be packaged in various consumable formats, including conferences, workshops, videos, podcasts, and other engaging online content…
