Think Sport: "Reducing the dependence of women's football on men's football" (P-H. Douillard, LFFP)

"It's not a question of breaking away from men's football, but of reducing the dependence of women's football on men's football. At the moment, men's football is experiencing financial difficulties because of TV rights. It's logical that we have to find new resources elsewhere so that women's football can exist and become more independent," said Paul-Hervé Douillard, director of the Ligue Féminine de Football Professionnel, who spoke at Think Sport on 03/10/2024.

"Ambitions for French women's football" was the theme of the round table in which Douillard participated, alongside Andreea Koenig, vice president of the LFFP, as part of the eighth edition of the annual event organised by News Tank since 2017, held at the Hôtel des Invalides (Paris, FRA).

"We are incredibly lucky to be in partnership with Canal+, which is supporting us over five years and has a wealth of expertise. We've had 30% more exposure since the start of the 2024-25 season. The matches are also broadcast on YouTube, which has doubled our audience," added Andreea Koenig.
