Olympique de Marseille: gift boxes for newborn babies distributed in two Marseille hospitals

Olympique de Marseille (McDonald's Ligue 1) has launched the "Né.e sous une bonne étoile" (Born under a lucky star) operation, which involves distributing gift boxes to the parents of newborn babies in two hospitals in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône, FRA) in September 2024.

This initiative is supported by the club's CSR programme "Treizième Homme" (Thirteenth Man), Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) and its endowment fund, Phoceo. It is being rolled out in the Nord and Conception public hospitals.

Each box distributed by the club includes "essential products such as an OM nappy and babygrow, accompanied by a personalised message from the president, Pablo Longoria. The initiative is part of the club's desire to be present at such a momentous occasion as the birth of newborn babies in Marseille."

The textile content of the box is produced by local company Fil Rouge, "specialising in Made in France textile manufacturing, with the entire production process carried out in its factory in La Capelette, Marseille, in a short circuit."
