2025 Club World Cup: federations given the chance to open a transfer window from 01 to 10/06/2025

The possibility for federations with one or more clubs taking part in the 2025 Club World Cup (from 15/06 to 13/07/2025 in the United States) to organise an "exceptional registration window" between 01 and 10/06/2025 was one of the measures taken by the FIFA Council at its meeting in Zurich (Switzerland) on Thursday 03/10/2024.

This decision by the world governing body is part of the regulations for the 2025 Club World Cup, unanimously approved by its Council, in order to "address technicalities and equalise inconsistencies created by differences in registration periods and domestic-season timings between participating clubs to the greatest extent possible, while affording flexibility to the FIFA member associations in question," said the body. It will be up to each federation to decide whether or not to open this additional market.
