France: Eurosport 2 & franceinfo failed to comply with anti-doping rules in 2022 & 2023 (Arcom)

The French pay-TV channel Eurosport 2 and the public channel franceinfo (France Télévisions) have not complied with their obligations to broadcast anti-doping programmes in 2022 and 2023, according to the report entitled "The fight against doping and the protection of people practising physical and sporting activities" (see attached document in French) published by Arcom on 03/10/2024.

Channels must contribute "to the fight against doping and to the protection of persons practising physical activities and sport" by "broadcasting at least two programmes each year and covering each theme at least once (minimum duration two minutes)," according to a decision on 26/06/2012 adopted at the time by the CSA (now Arcom following its merger with Hadopi).

A new decision "in line with the philosophy of the first text, while clarifying certain definitions and extending its scope to local television services" was adopted on 17/05/2017.
