Atlético de Madrid: Riyadh Air (main shirt sponsor), acquires Estadio Metropolitano naming rights

Riyadh Air, a Saudi airline owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has acquired the naming rights to the Estadio Metropolitano (Madrid, Spain), which will be known as "Riyadh Air Metropolitano" for nine seasons (2024-2033), announced Club Atlético de Madrid (LALIGA EA Sports), which has played at the stadium since the 2017-18 season, on 09/10/2024.

The airline, which will begin commercial operations in 2025, is thus extending its partnership with the Madrid club, of which it became the main shirt sponsor for €40m per season on 10/08/2023. This was the first sports sponsorship agreement signed by the brand, which has since become an official partner of Concacaf. The total value of this extended agreement, including shirt sponsorship rights and stadium naming rights, is estimated at between €250m and €350m per year, making Riyadh Air "the most important sponsor in the club's history," according to the club.
