Think Sport: "US investments in European clubs: a trend that is set to continue" (A. de Rauglaudre)

"The current valuation of the Top 30 European football clubs is at the same level as that of US sports franchises 10-12 years ago, and every year the curves follow each other with the same gap. American investors are therefore thinking that they have the opportunity to acquire clubs at three, four or five times revenues, which will tomorrow be valued at seven, eight or nine times those revenues. The influx of American capital into the big clubs is therefore a trend that is set to continue," said Achille de Rauglaudre, sports investment advisor via SportsInvest Advisory, at Think Sport on 03/10/2024.
