UEFA-ECA agreement: "Building something bigger together" (Aleksander Ceferin)

"Last year (on 06/09/2023) saw a memorandum of understanding between UEFA and the ECA. On that day, I spoke of unity and the strengths of our partnership. I'm delighted to have extended it yesterday. It's not just a question of continuing what's already working, it's about building something bigger," said Aleksander Ceferin president of UEFA on 10/10/2024.

The Slovenian spoke during the opening of the plenary session of the 31^st ECA general assembly, which is being held in Athens (GRE) from 08 to 10/10/2024, a few hours after the announcement of the extension of the memorandum of understanding linking the two European bodies until 2033.

"UEFA will continue to innovate together with the ECA. We have a new strategy in place with several priorities. We will increase global engagement in all our club and national team competitions, both men's and women's. We want to enhance revenue streams, not because we love money as some say, but because this money helps your clubs.
