Nike: Tom Peddie appointed vice president & general manager for North America

American Tom Peddie has been appointed vice president and general manager at Nike for North America, announced the brand based in Beaverton (Oregon, USA) on 12/10/2024. Peddie will take up his new position on 21/10/2024.

Tom Peddie, who held this position prior to his retirement on 01/06/2020, rejoined Nike as vice president of marketplace partners in July 2024. The Group will "soon" announce his replacement in this role. Tom Peddie succeeds Scott Uzzell, head of the North America region since 22/06/2023, "who has decided to leave Nike," said the company.

This appointment follows that of American Elliott Hill as CEO of the brand, announced on 19/09 and effective from 14/10/2024. The former group director of consumer and marketplace, prior to his retirement in 2020, has also been recalled by Nike to succeed John Donahoe, in post since January 2020. He is also chairman of the board of directors and a member of the executive committee.
