The Italian businessman Giampietro Manenti, 45, is the new owner and president of Parma FC (Serie A TIM) as of 11/02/2015. Dastraso Holdings Limited acquired a 66.55% share in FC Parma for the same amount on 11/12/2014 from Sportivi Eventi SpA, a company owned by Tommaso Ghirardi who was president and owner of Parma FC from 03/01/2007 to 11/12/2014.

The unofficial reason for the withdrawl of Dastraso Holdings Limited is the economic situation of the club: Parma FC posted €55.4m in operating losses at the end of the 2013-14 season; the total debt of the club was multiplied by 12.2 in the space of seven years, from €16.1m at the end of the 2006-07 season to €197.4m at the end of 2013-14.
