Italy: two bids for Genoa's Stadio Luigi-Ferraris, one from Genoa CFC

The city of Genoa (Liguria) has received two offers to buy the Stadio Luigi-Ferraris, one from the Italian property group CDS Holding on 04/10 and the other from Genoa CFC (Serie A Enilive), which plays its home games at the stadium, on 15/10, according to the city council on 16/10/2024.

"Both proposals are inclusive and provide for the possible participation of the two clubs that already use the stadium," added Genoa City Council, which has set a minimum price of €14m for the acquisition of the stadium.

Genoa's offer is being made with the support of the Oak View Group, an American company dedicated to the development of sports facilities, independently of UC Sampdoria (Serie BKT). The two clubs had announced the creation of a joint company, Genova Stadium Srl, in order to formulate a joint bid to regain ownership of the 36,348-seat stadium on 23/09/2024. However, Sampdoria will submit a bid of their own before 15/11/2024, according to Italian media outlet Calcio e Finanza.
