Premier League: adidas will return as kit supplier to Southampton FC in 2015-16

The German brand adidas will return as kit supplier to Southampton FC (Barclays Premier League) in 2015-16, the club announced on 14/02/2015. The partnership is estimated to be for £5m (€6.7m) in 2015-16.

The club has no official kit supplier in 2014-15. They announced they would end their deal with adidas at the end of the season in December 2013. The club blamed the German brand, particularly for the quality of its 2013-14 shirts which abandoned the club's traditional stripes.

"We are very grateful to adidas for the support and understanding they have offered over the past 12 months while we took an enforced hiatus from our affiliation. We are looking forward to activating our working relationship for the third and final year of our contract," said Gareth Rogers, CEO of Southampton FC.
