FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Inter Miami (MLS), 31^st club (out of 32) to qualify for the tournament

"Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami (MLS) has become the penultimate club (31^st out of 32) to seal a spot at the new FIFA Club World Cup after winning the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield, confirming them as the best team throughout the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season," announced FIFA on 20/10/2024.

This qualification means that Inter Miami, the franchise to which eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi is committed until the end of 2025, will be the team representing the host country at the competition organised in the United States from 15/06 to 13/07/2025. The club will play the opening game of the competition at its home stadium, the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (Florida, USA), on Sunday 15/06/2025.

The 32^nd and last remaining place will be decided at the 2024 Copa Libertadores (CONMEBOL) final in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on 30/11/2024. The draw for the eight groups of four clubs for the 2025 "Mundial de Clubes" will take place in December 2024.
