LFP TV rights: "beIN has settled all payments due for Ligue 2 & international rights" (beIN)

"Contrary to the false information spread daily by people with no credibility on social media, beIN has settled all payments due in respect of the domestic rights to Ligue 2 BKT and the international rights to French football (which are important agreements entered into by beIN despite the lack of competition for these rights)," said a spokesperson for the pay-TV group on 22/10/2024.

"beIN continues to wait for the most basic contractual terms to be provided by the clubs and LFP Media in relation to the Ligue 1 McDonald's rights, which any broadcaster in the world would require - and which is not linked to Qatar Tourism (sponsorship rights) - before any payment becomes due. At that point, payment will be made immediately, as beIN does with all rights holders worldwide," added the group's spokesperson.
