RC Celta de Vigo: a turnover of €71.6m & net loss of €7.5m in 2023-24

RC Celta (LALIGA EA Sports) posted a turnover of €71.6m at the end of the 2023-24 financial year (from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024), up very slightly on 2022-23 (€69.9m), according to the club's accounts published on its website on 18/10/2024.

TV rights revenue (€49m) was stable and alone accounted for 71% of the Galician club's turnover. The wage bill, on the other hand, rose sharply (+73%) to €61.9m in 2023-24, compared with €45.7m the previous year.

Celta de Vigo's net loss, which stood at €13.3m in 2022-23, was reduced to €7.5m in 2023-24. In addition, the club's general shareholders' assembly approved a projected budget (excluding transfers) of €73m for the 2024-25 financial year.

  • The club was also eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey by Real Sociedad.
