French Senate/LFP-CVC agreement: committee of enquiry conclusions to be published 30/10/2024

Laurent Lafon (Union Centriste, Val-de-Marne) and Michel Savin (LR, Isère), respectively chairman and rapporteur of the Senate's fact-finding mission, which has investigative powers, on the involvement of investment funds in French professional football, will present their conclusions at 15:30 (CET) on 30/10/2024.

"After six months' work and having heard from some sixty stakeholders, the fact-finding mission is presenting its conclusions. It has made a number of observations, as well as around thirty recommendations, with a view to improving the governance and strengthening the regulation of French professional football," said the two members of the French Senate's Committee on Culture, Education, Communication and Sport.

"The aim of this mission is to understand the place that investment funds are taking in the football economy (clubs and the Ligue de Football Professionnel's commercial company) and whether this new trend will be detrimental to their economic future," indicated Michel Savin on 27/03/2024.
