France/Stadiums: "Name-based ticketing compulsory for OM, PSG & OL from 31/12" (Gil Avérous)

"The Government's intention is to avoid collective sanctions. I am going to sign a decree that will come into effect on 31/12/2024 and which will make it compulsory for all matches at Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille to be ticketed by name. Each spectator will have to have a ticket with a seat and his or her name, so that we can identify where the discriminatory comments come from and identify those who will be banned from the stadium. For all other Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs, this will be the norm by 2025," declared Gil Avérous, French Minister for Sport, Youth and Community Life, on BFM TV on 24/10/2024.
