Aldi France, the national subsidiary of the German hard-discount supermarket group, has activated its partnership with French club Team Vitality and launched a campaign to denounce "the harassment and sexism that is omnipresent in the world of gaming and esports" on 22/10/2024.

The campaign takes the form of the eight-minute video "Des Failles dans La Faille" (Rifts in the Rift), in which Team Vitality players and other female personalities from the world of esports react to hateful comments made about them on social media (see below).

"Team Vitality and Aldi aim to change the way women are viewed in esports and gaming. Through the video Des Failles dans La Faille, the two brands aim to raise public awareness of the violent messages received by female gamers and the impact they have on their daily lives. Through their testimonies, these women in the world of gaming explain that certain messages attack their confidence, their mental well-being and also their performance," explained the two companies.
