• Abdelatif Benazzi (France, 56), FFR vice-president responsible for international affairs, "nominated by France and seconded by South Africa";
• Andrea Rinaldo (Italy, 70), professor of hydrology and former Italian international (4 caps), "nominated by Italy and seconded by Ireland";
• Brett Robinson (Australia, 54), member of World Rugby's executive board (since 2015) "nominated by Australia and seconded by England".

These are the three candidates who will stand for election as chair of World Rugby (2024-2028 cycle) at the body's interim board meeting in Dublin (Ireland) on 14/11/2024, announced World Rugby on 25/10/2024.

The elected chairman will succeed England's Bill Beaumont, who was first elected in 2016 and then re-elected in 2020 for a second term, thus reaching the maximum number of mandates authorised by the international federation.
