Women's Ballon d'Or 2024: Spain's Aitana Bonmatí wins award for second year running

Aitana Bonmatí (ESP, FC Barcelona) won the 2024 Women's Ballon d'Or during the ceremony held at the Théâtre du Châtelet (Paris, FRA) for the 6^th edition of the trophy created by French magazine France Football, on 28/10/2024. She finished ahead of two of her FC Barcelona (Liga F) team-mates on the podium: Norway's Caroline Graham Hansen and Spain's Salma Paralluelo.

Winner of the Nations League with Spain on 28/02/2024 (2-0 versus France in the final), the 2023-24 UEFA Women's Champions League (2-0 versus Olympique Lyonnais in the final), the 2023-24 Spanish league title and Supercopa de España Femenina with Barça, the midfielder took home the trophy for best player for the second time after winning it for the first time in 2023. Barcelona also received the "Women's Club of the Year" award, as they did in 2023.
