Bologna FC 1909: a turnover of €103.8m (25.3%) & a net loss of €10.4m in 2023-24

Bologna FC 1909 (Serie A Enilive) posted a turnover of €103.8m at the end of the 2023-24 financial year (from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024), up 25.3% on 2022-23 (€82.8m), announced the club on 25/10/2024.

The Italian club posted a positive EBITDA of €23.3m (compared with €18.4m in 2022-23) and a net loss of €10.4m, down from the €16.3m deficit recorded at the end of the previous financial year.

"Ticketing revenue exceeded €8.6m and commercial income stood at €20.7m, up €2.7m on 2022-23. Capital gains from the sale of players amounted to €24m (compared with €34.5m in 2022-23)," said the club, which finished fifth in the Italian top flight in 2023-24 and is therefore taking part in the Champions League for the first time in its history in 2024-25.

Bologna FC's wage bill totalled €71m, up due to "performance bonuses paid", with other operating costs remaining "virtually unchanged" compared with 2022-23. The club ended the financial year with equity of €19.9m, but net debt of €19.7m.
