Spain/RFEF: Mapfre (insurance) title sponsor of the Copa del Rey for three seasons (2024-2027)

Spanish insurance company Mapfre has acquired the naming rights to the Copa del Rey from the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol for three seasons (2024-2027), announced the body on 28/10/2024. The competition will thus be known as the "Copa del Rey Mapfre".

• The brand will enjoy the status of "partner-sponsor", the second level in the Spanish Football Federation's sponsorship hierarchy, and will work to encourage "the participation of fans and volunteers, as well as implementing social responsibility initiatives," according to the RFEF.
• As part of the agreement, Mapfre will also become a partner of the Copa de la Reina final "with the aim of contributing to its dissemination and improvement" as well as highlighting "the need to give visibility and impetus to women's football."

The value of the agreement has not been communicated as of 29/10/2024. The RFEF generated €363m in revenue in 2023 (compared with €366m in 2022), of which €76.2m came from sponsorship (21% of the total).
