Barclays Women's Super League: Sky & BBC extend UK TV rights for 2025-2030 (£65m)

The British pay-TV operator Sky and public broadcaster BBC have extended their UK broadcasting rights to the Barclays Women's Super League for a further five seasons over the 2025-2030 cycle, announced Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL) on 30/10/2024.

The deal is worth a total of £65m (€78m), according to British daily The Guardian. If production costs are added in, the deal would be worth more than £100m (€120m).

Sky will broadcast up to 118 matches each season, including 78 on an exclusive basis. 34 matches will be shown on a non-exclusive basis by Sky and the WPLL's YouTube channel, while seven matches will be shown on both Sky and the BBC. The BBC will broadcast 21 matches live, 14 of which will be exclusive.

"Sky is committed to continue innovating within coverage and provide unprecedented promotion and marketing support to the League. The new partnership also gives Sky the option to show matches from the Barclays Women's Championship and Women's League Cup, including the final. This brings both competitions onto Sky for the first time," explained the league.
