FC St. Pauli: a cooperative launched to promote sale of the club's stadium to fans (€30m)

FC St. Pauli (Bundesliga) will launch, on 10/11/2024, a subscription phase for the "Football Cooperative Sankt Pauli" set up to handle the sale of the Stadion-Millerntor (Hamburg, GER) to supporters, announced the German club, owner of the 29,546-seat stadium, on 30/10/2024.

"The cooperative is open to all St. Pauli members, supporters, sympathisers and other interested parties," explained the Hamburg club. Each share taken in the structure costs €850 (€750 for the share, €32 administration fee and €68 for the cooperative's treasury). FC St. Pauli estimates that "the sale of the shares is expected to bring in up to €30m, with the cooperative subsequently acquiring a majority stake in the Stadion-Millerntor."

This cooperative, the first of its kind "in professional football worldwide", stipulates that regardless of the number of shares acquired, its members have just one vote.
