Equipment manufacturers: a turnover of £190.3m (€222.8m) for Castore (GBR) in 2023-24 (+65.5%)

Castore, a British sports equipment manufacturer established in 2015, has posted a turnover of £190.3m (€222.8m) for the 2023-24 financial year (01/02/2023 to 04/02/2024), up 65.5% on 2022-23 (£115m, or €131m), according to accounts filed by the group based in Manchester (ENG) on 30/10/2024.

"Our vertically integrated model remains unique in the global sportswear market and has allowed us to continue to take market share from our competitors. Castore's founding mission was to build the number one premium sportswear brand in the world, and fiscal year 2024 represented another milestone on journey," said the group.

The company, which supplies kits for Everton FC (Premier League), Oracle Red Bull Racing and McLaren Racing (Formula 1), nonetheless posted a pre-tax loss of £28.9m (€33.8m), compared with a profit of £14.6m (€16.7m) the previous year. Operating profit was £0.4m (€0.46m), compared with £16.6m (€18.9m) in 2022-23.
