Kate Theobald has been promoted to commercial director at Liverpool FC (Premier League) with immediate effect, announced the club on 04/11/2024. Theobald, who was previously vice-president and head of global partnerships, replaces Ben Latty, who became chief commercial officer of LFC at the end of 2023.

"Kate will lead LFC's global partnerships team, overseeing the club's partnership and sales strategy. In addition to her commercial responsibilities, she will focus on expanding alliances with industry leaders while working with partners to promote the club's commitment to sustainability through The Red Way, the club's award-winning sustainability framework," explained the Merseyside club.

"Kate has been influential in bringing together new global partnerships with leading brands such as Husqvarna (garden tools), Japan Airlines (airline), Orion Innovation (digital development), Lucozade (energy drinks) and Engelbert Strauss (workwear), which has seen the club's commercial income achieve record results, rising to £272m (in 2022-23)," added Liverpool FC.
