FIFA: Elkhan Mammadov succeeds Kenny Jean-Marie as chief member associations officer

Elkhan Mammadov (AZE) has replaced Kenny Jean-Marie (FRA) as chief member associations officer at FIFA, announced the international federation on 01/11/2024. The Azerbaijani will, however, retain his duties as regional director of member associations for Europe.

"Before joining FIFA in May 2022, Elkhan Mammadov played a pioneering role in raising sporting standards in his native Azerbaijan, firstly as general secretary and then as executive vice-president of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA). Since joining FIFA to head up the member associations Europe subdivision, he has played a key role in the implementation of the FIFA Forward Programme among 55 European FIFA member associations," said FIFA.

Former Swiss international Gelson Fernandes has been appointed deputy chief member associations officer, and will also continue his duties as FIFA's regional director of member associations for Africa.
