• "Build and protect the uniqueness of the women's game;
• Win a major tournament;
• Build robust, high-quality competition;
• Deliver equal opportunities for women and girls to play."

These are the four main priorities of "Reaching Higher" a strategic plan for women's and girl's football for 2024-2028, presented by The Football Association, on 30/10/2024.

"More women and girls playing, coaching, officiating and supporting the flourishing professional game than ever before" was the objective of the previous plan, "Inspiring positive change", which coincided with record progress during the 2020-2024 cycle.

"Until we have the same number of women and girls playing as men and boys, there is still more work to do across the game. None of our ambitious plans can be delivered without seamless collaboration with football's stakeholders, including the new independent body (NewCo) running the top two divisions of the women's game. We head into the 2024-28 period in great shape, with ambition to deliver more growth and societal change," said Mark Bullingham, CEO of The FA.
