Olympique Marseille: campaign to combat bullying at school via the "Treizième Homme" CSR programme

Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 McDonald's) have launched the "On ne naît pas Capitaine, on le devient !" (You're not born a captain, you become one!) campaign to combat bullying at school, announced the club on 07/11/2024.

The initiative, deployed as part of "Treizième Homme" (Thirteenth Man), the club's CSR programme, is being carried out to mark France's national day against bullying at school (07/11/2024), with the support of the Région Sud (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) and the Académie d'Aix-Marseille (Aix-Marseille Academy).

The campaign comprises three actions:
• "Creation of a video featuring Captain Leonardo Balerdi (ARG), highlighting the power of teamwork and solidarity in the face of harassment;
• All OM team captains will wear a special armband at matches over the weekend (Friday 08 to Sunday 10/11), to show their solidarity and commitment to this vital fight;
• The forthcoming distribution of educational leaflets, designed in conjunction with the Académie d'Aix-Marseille, for use by local educational players, containing practical advice and exercises for tackling the issue…
