Ligue 1 domestic TV rights (2024-2029): 2^nd instalment (€15.7m) paid by beIN SPORTS (press)

The pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France has paid the Ligue de Football Professionnel its second instalment for the domestic TV rights to the Ligue 1 McDonald's over the 2024-2029 cycle, amounting to €15.7m, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 08/11/2024. The payment date was set for early October.

beIN SPORTS, which holds exclusive TV rights to one game per Ligue 1 matchday for €98.5m per season (including around €20m in sponsorship rights) but has still not signed its contract with the Ligue, again according to L'Equipe, had already paid its first instalment late. Due in August 2024 for a sum of just under €20m, it was not paid until October 2024.

The Qatari group's subsidiary also holds the domestic TV rights to the Ligue 2 BKT over the same 2024-2029 cycle for €40m per year.
