FC Bayern Munich: Jan-Christian Dreesen's position as CEO extended early until 2027

Jan-Christian Dreesen (57), CEO and chairman of the board at FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) since May 2023, has has had his role prematurely extended until 30/06/2027 by a unanimous decision of Bayern's supervisory board, announced the club on 11/11/2024.

Jan-Christian Dreesen joined Bayern Munich in 2013 as chief financial officer and then became vice chairman of FC Bayern München AG, FC Bayern Munich's commercial arm, in 2014. He succeeded Oliver Kahn, who stepped down on 27/05/2023.

"Jan-Christian Dreesen took over as CEO in a difficult time and led FC Bayern München AG back into calmer waters in a short space of time. We want to continue on this path together. We are certain that he is the right person to tackle the upcoming challenges together with his fellow board members Michael Diederich (chief financial officer) and Max Eberl (board member for sport) and to achieve FC Bayern's ambitious goals," said Herbert Hainer, chairman of the supervisory board at Bayern Munich.

FC Bayern Munich's annual general assembly is scheduled for Sunday 08/12/2024.
